Kara J Kemp fosters collaboration and connection through her storytelling, coaching and community involvement, impromptu song breakouts, hostess skills and off-the-chart organizational tools. She is the owner of a Kara Kemp Coaching which brings a whole- brain approach of innovation and creativity to businesses and entrepreneurs at various stages in their careers, and Kara is currently serving as 2023 Murfreesboro Performing Arts Laureate. A champion of people and their stories, she is creator and producer of the Bloom Stage, a multi-genre art series, and the national award-winning storytelling fundraising event, United We Style. She facilitates art-focused wellness retreats and an Adult Summer Camp in the tranquil setting of Historic Rugby, Tennessee. A Murfreesboro native with an eclectic career in management and creative arts, she serves as a member of Rutherford County 100 Women Who Care, Locally Owned Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro Little Theatre and Rutherford Arts Alliance named United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties Volunteer of the Year 2021, Athena International Leadership Award Nominee 2021 and Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence 2022. She serves as a diplomat with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and is the president-elect of the Murfreesboro Kiwanis Club. In her free time she enjoys playing in the local Brainiac Trivia League and keeping the bartenders at The Alley company. She has a passion for service and thrives on helping others succeed. Becky is excited to be bringing her vast knowledge of microwavable recipes to this year’s event and hopes she can teach Shawn Hackinson a thing or two in the kitchen.

As a long term resident of Rutherford County, Jonathan Harmon is knowledgeable and passionate about his community. Jonathan started his career as an educator, teaching economics and other business related fields at Blackman High School, where he also coached wrestling.
In 2009, Jonathan pursued his dreams to be self-employed and ventured in to real estate. For more than 10 years Jonathan has been serving his clients, building his business and still can’t believe he fulfilled his entrepreneurial desires and loves it!
Jonathan and many of his clients describes him as an adviser, confidant, advocate and teacher. Jonathan Harmon is a licensed broker and a Realtor with Keller Williams, with more than 500 transactions in 10 years as an individual agent.
In 2018 Jonathan decided to grow and started building the J. Harmon Home Team. This dynamic group now consists of six team members, all of which share his passion.
Jonathan is a huge supporter of local businesses. He has been known as “The Connector“. His team hosts a weekly Facebook live event called “Coffee Talk” that highlights local businesses, non-profits and servants and gives them a platform to network and form partnerships with each other.
Harmon has been a proud member of the Smyrna (Tennessee) Rotary Club since 2013. He serves on their service projects committee and board of directors. Jonathan also serves on the Carpe Artista Board and MTSU National Alumni Board. Jonathan also serves the Realtor community by teaching at his office and for the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors, where he serves on the education committee. He enjoys serving his community in many ways, including hosting events for non-profits. Jonathan has opened his home for the Main Street Summer Party and most recently, the MTSU Alumni Association Pigskin PreGame party.
Jonathan’s most important job is to be the father of Jonas and Maggie. Both of whom attend schools in the Rutherford County School System. Jonathan is a proud Alumni and supporter of Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and a master’s degree in Business Education. “GO BLUE!“

Shawn Hackinson is co-owner of The Alley on Main. As a young man in Donora, Pennsylvania, Shawn Hackinson got his first taste of the restaurant business at 14 years old when he got a job as a waiter at a fine dining restaurant in Pittsburgh and has been in the restaurant business ever since. In 2002 he entered the management side, working for Darden Restaurants and the Frandeli Group as a manager. In 2014, he and his wife Christy, moved their family to middle Tennessee, where Christy grew up. They opened The Alley on Main and began the journey of building community through food.
Jason Matheson was raised in Nashville's Priest Lake area. Matheson has spent his life cooking and managing kitchens in Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC and Columbus, OH. After his marriage to his wife Nevada in 2018 he moved to Murfreesboro. Now the Matheson's own Primrose Table which they opened in 2019 on Murfreesboro's north side.
